Where Christ is King

Music

The music ministry is a growing part of Longs Peak and there are many opportunities available to serve through this ministry.  We have over 70 members ranging in age from 7 to 70 involved in this ministry - there is a place for everyone!  We offer choir, acappella, praise team, adult and youth handbells, flute ensemble, Sonlight Singers, solo and ensemble opportunities, and accompanying. If you are interested or have any questions about the music ministry at Longs Peak, please call Kay W. Lloyd at 303-651-2499.  Come join us!

The music program is a vital part of worship and ministry at Longs Peak. We strive to offer an atmosphere where music is glorifying to God and where individuals can grow spiritually and musically through music opportunities offered at Longs Peak.

WOMEN- CHOIR NEEDS YOU!!  We need a few more women's voices to balance our growing men's section! If you enjoy singing and fellowship - come check out choir. Please call Kay if you are interested. All voices and levels welcome.

The Longs Peak Dixieland Gospel Band rehearses Monday evenings.  They make a joyful noise unto the Lord, playing for church and community events.  The current make up is: Cornet, Soprano Sax, Piano, Guitar, Tuba, Drums and Vocalists.

Solo and small ensembles provide music for our nursing home ministry as well as services. There are also opportunities for accompanists in many areas.

CHILDREN’S MUSIC

Children's music is part of the Sunday School curriculum for all children in grades PreK - 5th.  Traditional songs of the faith, as well as new songs, are introduced to the children during this time. The children perform in services and in the community throughout the year.

Music/Drama Camp is in its third year. This daily week-long camp is open to children finishing grades 1-8. During this week of rehearsals, bible study, art, and recreation we put together a Christian musical with sets, costumes, drama, and music. The final production is performed on Friday evening of the week. Auditions for parts are held in May.
